It is obvious that humanity is experiencing energy crisis: the desired needs of humanity in the electrical energy is several times higher than production! And this despite the fact that the latter figure is almost fantastic - 27-30 trld. kilowatt-hours annually.

     The level of material, and therefore the spiritual culture of mankind depends on the amount of energy it has. To make any thing we need energy. Material needs of humanity as the population of people is constantly increasing, as demand for energy increases geometrically.

    The media constantly inform us about the invention of various new, more environmentally friendly ways to get energy. But what if the reason for slow growth in the share of such sources in total energy production. The point that has not found a source of energy, more profitable for the oldest method of extraction of energy - burning. And now, 80% of all energy humanity gets burning coal, oil and petroleum products, pryrolniy gas, peat, etc.. But those reserves of energy that nature accumulated hundreds of millions of years, there would be enough to dekilkasot Rocky. So the only way to get people to switch to cleaner sources of energy - a decision at the state level and the international community a number of regulatory acts that would have limited the production of fuel resources. But several states (primarily a Gulf States) and do not intend to limit their profits this way.

     So the burden of conservation of energy falls on the developed nations of North America and Europe. More and more scientists are looking for possible sources of economical operations that would use renewable resources and which could be at least partially replace fuel. The most suitable sources such as energy flowing water, wind, ocean tides, heat the earth's interior and, of course, solar power. Also promising is research aimed at an attempt to repeat the thermonuclear processes in stars.

     Scientists can say that energy - the ability to perform work and the work done when an object has physical strength. Clearly defined energy states that energy - is the potential difference at different points in the field. But we dostatno define this abstract energy as a source from which a person can get electricity, heat, etc..

    The concept of energy, which contains some matter is relative. For example, if the Earth relative to the flow of the river is moving at a speed of 10 km / h, and relative to motor boat that swims against the tide - 50 km / h, respectively, if we place the apparatus that produces energy through the movement of water on the shore we received five times less energy than if we placed the same apparatus on the boat. So relatively current boat has more energy than relatively shore.

But never has humanity felt an acute need for rapid transition to new energy sources as now. Therefore, in my opinion, this transition needs to be done as soon as possible. Of course, sooner or later, economic factors lead us to abandon the use of oil and gas, but economic opportunity arise much later than environmental.
